Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the CitiZen AU application ("the App") or visiting citizenau.powerdigital.au ("the Website"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Website.

1. The Service

CitiZen AU is a practice and preparation tool for the Australian citizenship test. It is provided by Power Digital, an Australian company. The App is for educational purposes only and does not guarantee any particular outcome in the official citizenship test.

2. Accounts

You must be 13 years of age or older to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription (weekly or monthly). Subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Renewals occur automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. We do not process or store payment card information directly.

Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App stores.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract content from the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to our servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Share your account credentials with others

5. Intellectual Property

All content in CitiZen AU — including question text, explanations, translations, design, and code — is owned by Power Digital or its licensors. Questions are based on publicly available materials published by the Australian Government (Department of Home Affairs) and are used for educational purposes.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free. The official Australian citizenship test is administered by the Department of Home Affairs — refer to the official resources at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au for authoritative information.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, Power Digital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App or Website, including any outcome in the official citizenship test.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting us. Active subscription periods are not refunded on termination due to a breach.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
